Gloria J. Litchney
Birthplace: Uniontown, PA Resided In: Parma, OH Visitation: May 25, 2023

After a 2 year battle with cancer, Gloria Jean (Warish) Litchney passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday May 14th, 2023 at 75 years old.

She was the loving mother of 2 children, Greg and Jessica (deceased), grandmother to Aiden, sister to George Warish and Rose Filley, and aunt to Shaun Filley.

Born in Uniontown, PA on December 5th, 1947 to John and Rose Warish, she married her high school sweetheart, Ted Litchney, and they moved to Parma, Ohio. She spent several years as a homemaker and, after her divorce, found a career at Metro Hospital, spending 25 years moving through administrative positions to retire from the Senior Advantage department, helping guide seniors through the complexities of health care. She was a loving and patient mother, grandmother, and aunt who would do anything for the children. As the middle child, she was the level head that looked out for her siblings all their lives as they did for her at the end of hers. Up until her death, all the family would always gather at her house on Sundays for dinner and to talk and share their lives with her. She was always the glue that held the whole family together. Gloria was also a great artist in the craft of making Ukrainian Pysanky eggs, with intricate designs laid out on eggs using wax and dye. She loved puzzles, camping, card games, and the Mama Mia musical.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life at a gathering on Thursday May 25th between 6:00 pm and 8:00 PM at Jenkins Funeral Chapel on 2914 Dover Center Rd, Westlake, OH 44145.

Gloria worked as a secretary for my mother (Candace Carmichael) for many years at MetroHealth. She was so kind, loyal and supportive both to my mom and our family. It was always such a pleasure to see her smiling face or catch up with her on the phone. I truly hope she is at peace now and I send my love to her family.
