Clarence Earl Allen, 83 years old resided in Westlake, Ohio. Peacefully passed away Sunday morning April 16, 2023 at his home.

Clarence is predeceased by wife: Laurie Jansinski Allen, and survived by his children: Michael and wife Marketa, Darleen and Richard Allen.

Funeral and online service will be held in Clarence's honor on Tuesday, April 25th, 2023 at 1:00p.m. Jenkins Funeral Chapel, 2914 Dover Center Rd., Westlake, Ohio 44145

Clarence Earl Allen was born 5/19/1939 in Shelby County, Alabama. Peacefully passed  Sunday April 16, 2023 at his home Clarence predeceased by parents: Clarence and Ocie Allen, and wife: Laurie Mae Jansinski Allen: survived by children Michael Darleen Richard Allen.

Clarence spent most of his childhood in Alabama.  One of Clarence childhood friend brother worked on cars, and they would watch cars being taken apart and repaired. Clarence was a quick learner . At  the age of 11 he begin helping fix cars. He learned how to drive at age 13. Clarence began working with a  man that owned houses. That neighbor showed him how to paint, and all kinds of odd jobs. Clarence said he was so happy to have the opportunity to help his family.

 Clarence came to Cleveland at the age of 16 with his brother William. Clarence was hired at United Screw,and Bolt at age 17.  Clarence started out as a machine operator. During the 45 yrs he would be promoted to supervisor. He also served as union leader.  Retired at age 62. 
Clarence married Sonya at the age of 19 had 5 children. 16 grand kids, and 12 great grand kids. 
Clarence enjoyed watching movies, sports, fishing, traveling and cooking.  Clarence was known for his barbecue ribs. Clarence met his soulmate Laurie, and married. They traveled on cruises Puerto Rico, St. James, Las Vegas, Florida St. Martins. When they were not traveling on the weekends they went out to dinner and to the movies.


Clarence had a gentle spirit, and a humble personality. He respected everyone he met. When you spoke with Clarence you knew he was sincere. Clarence was content in every situation and circumstance. Clarence will be greatly missed and remembered with fondness.

Clarence & Laurie were my neighbors & you couldn’t ask for better neighbors. I know Clarence missed Laurie deeply after her passing, they are now reunited.
