Doris Jean (nee Dailey) Forror passed way on March 9th 2023 as a result of complications from an undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma( a rare form of cancer) and dementia. She was born on December 31, 1938 in Columbus, OH and attended West High School. She graduated from Ohio University with a degree in secondary education and a minor in engineering. She lived in Bay Village and Avon Lake OH for most of her adult life. She was a secondary science teacher and astronomer for Bay Village Public School and the Walter R Schuele Planetarium for many years. She was also a long standing memeber of GLPA and CRAP. She also worked for Cleveland Public Schools doing Planetarium Programs. She even worked at NASA’s John Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, where she presented space programs to school classes. She also founded and developed Discovery Works at the Avon Lake Public Library, which was a labor of love for her. After retiring, Doris was a volunteer with the Meals on Wheels and the Little Free Library in Avon Lake. She was proceeded in death by her parents William Robert and Blanche Kent Dailey and her husband of 30 years, Ray Ellis Forror. She is survived by her sons Mark A. (Sophia) and Randy S (Cheryl) and her daughter Mindy S. (Troy) Bisesi. 6 Grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren; a beloved cousin who was like a sister, Margie (Harvey) Kinkead and her close friend and former college roommate Carrie Tokheim. Funeral Service will take place on Monday March 13th at 730 pm at Jenkins Funeral Chapel 2914 Dover Center Rd. Westlake, where family and friends will gather from 6 till the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her name to the Avon Lake Public Library which was near and dear to her heart.
