Reino Jacob Salmi

March 30, 1922 ‐ February 11, 2023

Reino Jacob Salmi went to be with the Lord on February 11, 2023 at  home at Independence Village, Avon Lake,  Reino was born on March 30, 1922, Reino made his home in Bay Village, Ohio for 67 years.  He spent his career at the NASA Glenn Research Center (formerly Lewis Research Center).  He was an active member of Christ Church Westshore, previously St. Barnabas Episcopal Church until his death.  He was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Rachel McAlister Salmi and grandson, Nathaniel James McLaughlin.  Reino is survived  by his son, David Reino Salmi and wife, Linda, his daughter, Kim Salmi McLaughlin, and husband, Larry; his grandchildren, Matthew McLaughlin (Caroline) and Elizabeth McLaughlin.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christ Church Westshore.  A Memorial and Celebration of Life will be held at a date to be determined.
