Dave aka Ripper was a great friend. Although our military service took us both down separate paths, we always remained very close. I’ll miss the countless cabin runs to West Virginia with our friends and families. Condolences to the Glauner family, you are in my prayers.

A great man taken to soon! I always enjoyed Dave’s smile and laugh while serving with him in the Air Guard- he was a blessing to have in our unit and a true aviator and professional in every way. Prayers to his family and friends.

My thoughts and prayers go out to David’s family. He was a fraternity brother and he was one of a kind with a great sense of humor. So many fun memories at the Delt house. We unfortunately didn’t stay in touch after college, but I’m not surprised reading about his great career serving our country. I’m grateful for your service to our country. Rest in peace brother.

To all the Glauner Clan

Death is nothing at all- I have only slipped away into the next room. Whatever we were to each other that we are still. Call me by my old familiar name; speak to me in the easy way, which you always used to, laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, and pray for me. Let my name be the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without effort. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was; there is absolutely unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of your mind because I am out of your sight? I am but waiting for your, for an interval, somewhere very near just around the corner. All is well. Nothing has passed; nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before only better, infinitely happier and forever-we will all be one together with Christ. (Tallow

I’m so sorry to hear about David’s passing. We connected by phone a few months ago for the first time in years. He never mentioned his disease, and spoke only about the joy and abundance in his life. My condolences to everyone affected by his passing. He was a good man who I wish had been a bigger part of my life.
