Yuen Ting Lo passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 in Cleveland, Ohio at 70 years old. She was born on May 27, 1952 to Wong Sui Wun and Siu Yat Hei in a small village in southeastern China. She was fortunate to move to Hong Kong to live with her father when she was young. Once she discovered the joys of learning, she continued that as a lifelong passion, known for writing in her notebooks all the things she wanted to know and learn. While in Hong Kong, she continued to learn extensively and acquired her nursing and teaching degree. Yuen was able to practice in her fields of nursing and teaching all while getting married and beginning a new chapter that would lead to a big move. After marriage, she immigrated to the United States where she was pivotal in providing support for a family restaurant business simultaneously while raising three young children (all one year apart!) and was always and continued to be a loving and caring mother for them through adulthood. Once the kids were grown, she continued to use her medical training as a medical assistant and demonstrated her love of her family by moving to California to care for her aging parents. The last chapter of her life was a final move back to Northeast Ohio, providing wonderful care to her son until her final days and enjoying time with her family.
She is survived by her children, Alfred (Christine), Siu (Matthew), and Jin; her grandchildren, Destiny, Isabella, Claire, and Anna.
Her heart is pure and the heavens are lucky to have such a soul. She shall be missed on earth. Her giggles and laughter through good times and hard times shall forever ring in the ears of her loved ones.
