Margaret Catherine Schwan (nee Greenwood) was reunited with her loving husband, Donald Wilbur Schwan in Heaven on June 14th, 2022. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 13th, 1933.

Margaret was a 1955 graduate of Methodist Hospital-School of Nursing-Brooklyn, New York.  She was a Director of Nursing in Geriatrics and was such a compassionate nurse.  Her daughter, Diana and grand-daughter, Morgan Margaret both followed in her footsteps and also became Registered Nurses.

Loving Mother of Dale Schwan (Kathleen), Diana Smith (Archie), Janet Schwan Proctor. Cherished Grandmother of Brandon, Alexandra, Evan, Morgan, Kristel and Dwayne (Stephanie). Treasured Great-Grandmother of Ambyr, Allen, Elliot and Margot.  She is also survived by her loving sisters, Doris, Caroline and Joyce. Aunt and Great Aunt too many.

Margaret and her husband, Donald were engaged after being introduced by a Cleveland cousin and married on January, 21st, 1956. A love story for the ages. They settled in the Cleveland/Westlake Ohio area, where they built their home in 1960.

Margaret immensely enjoyed reading books, sewing, decorating, gardening, watching football and baseball. She enjoyed traveling and visiting with family, especially Marco Island, Florida with her sisters and Mother.  She will be missed very much, but her love and memories' transcend all time. 

Memorial Service to be held on Friday July 22, 2022 at 11:30 am at Concord Reserve Chapel 2116 Dover Center Road Westlake,  followed by burial at Evergreen Cemetery 29535 Center Ridge Rd at 1pm.

For Diana: your dear Mom was an inspiration to those who knew her - especially you. Your local care for her in this last chapter continues this inspiration for which I am thankful.
