Ina Mueller
Birthplace: Freiburg, Germany Resided In: Westlake, Ohio

Ina I. (Hagemann) Mueller, age 65, daughter of Karl and Karla Hagemann, passed away peacefully the early morning of November 16, 2021, after fighting a year-long battle with stage 4 Neuroendocrine Carcinoma. She was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and soon-to-be grandmother.

Born in Freiburg, Germany, Ina met her husband Wolfgang at a wine festival in Weil am Rhein. They moved to the United States in the mid '80s and raised their two children, Irina and Remo, in Westlake, Ohio. Wolfgang and Ina recently celebrated 43 years of marriage.

Ina was a nurturer and proud parent who encouraged her children to follow their dreams. She played violin in her youth and sang in a number of choirs, including University Circle Chorale. She enjoyed salsa dancing with her son and always had a vibrant energy and an opinion to share. Her many hobbies included cooking, baking, nature walks, attending classical music concerts, knitting, puzzling, and building an impressive collection of dollhouses. Ina also loved gardening and operated her own floral business for many years creating custom floral arrangements.

She is survived by her husband Wolfgang Mueller, daughter Irina (fiancé Nick Murdick and his son Calvin), and son Remo (wife Lisa). Ina’s family in Germany includes her brother, Fred Hagemann (wife Beate), sister Ruth Rosencrantz, and nephews Lars, Urs, and Arne and families.

A memorial will be held on Saturday November 27, 2021 at 11am at Folger Home, 32770 Lake Road in Avon Lake, OH 44012, with a meal served after the service.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to The Gathering Place (https://touchedbycancer.org/ways-to-give) or The Village Project (https://ourvillageproject.com/donate).
