Raymond B. Fields, age 95 of Westlake, formerly from Wheeling West Virginia, passed away July 7th, 2021. Beloved husband for 69 years to Rose (Grubler), cherished son of the late B.C. and Anna (Rickus) Fields, dear brother to the late Paul W. Fields, dearest father of Thomas (Christine), Richard (Marlene), Rose Anna (Mike Kiessling), Elizabeth (Brian Solt), loving grandfather of nine, great grandfather of two and loyal to surviving brother-in-law Dr. Bernard J Grubler.
He retired from New York Life insurance company after 37 years, where he served in several cities in several capacities. He enjoyed, boating, fishing, and gardening. He was a World War II Navy veteran and a proud member of American Legion Post #1 in Wheeling West Va. He belonged to the Knights of Columbus, Holy Name society and was a member of the Faithful Friends group at St Richards Parish.
Friends and family may call 4:00-8:00 pm Monday, July 12that Jenkins Funeral chapel located at 2914 Dover Center Rd, Westlake 44145. A Catholic mass will be celebrated July 13, 2021, at 10:00 am at St. Richards Catholic Church in North Olmsted Ohio, followed by Christian burial at St. Joseph’s cemetery in Avon Ohio.
