Birthplace: Cleveland, Ohio Resided In: Westlake, Ohio Visitation: May 07, 2021 Service: May 08, 2021

Age 84, born August 17, 1936 went home to be with the Lord on March 26, 2021.

She was the beloved wife of musician William Edward Krempasky (“Billy Kaye”), cherished mother of William (Sally) Krempasky, Laura (Brian) Kapalka, and Dave (Tricia) Krempasky, and loving grandmother of Kyle, Paul, Catherine (Bill), and Matthew(Laura).

Nancy was born in Cleveland, OH to Henry & Mary Kalat (Nee Zemo) and graduated Shaw High School. She worked for the Nickel Plate Railroad for 10 years in downtown Cleveland in the Terminal Tower - where Bill asked her to marry him! She spent 32 years in the Westlake City School System as Secretary, where she was affectionately known as “Mrs. K” at the Westlake High School for 10 years and Bassett Elementary School for 22 years. She helped and loved many children and staff!

Nancy was a devout Catholic. She loved God!  She attended Mass daily until recent years when her health began to deteriorate; at which time she would say a daily Rosary. She was a Eucharistic Minister for many years, delivering Holy Communion to those at Harbor Court, The Life Care Center, The Normandy, and to many sick/homebound.

Nancy was a kind, thoughtful, sweet, andloving woman, who never complained.  She was always very generous and willing to help those in need.  Besides loving her family, she enjoyed shopping (mostly buying things for others), hot fudge sundaes at Malley’s, cruising and traveling, Tea at the Ritz, Cheesecake Factory with the girls, and Panera Bread with the Bassett ladies. She also cherished birthdays at Buca di Beppo, was a huge Neil Diamond fan, and enjoyed relaxing with “The Price is Right”, “Wheel of Fortune” and “Jeopardy!”.

She was a loving, little lady with a heart of gold. She will be greatly missed!

Visitation will be Friday, May 7 at Jenkins Funeral Chapel from 6-8 PM (2914 Dover Center Rd, Westlake, OH 44145). Funeral Mass will be Saturday, May 8 at 10:30AM at St. Bernadette Catholic Church (2256 Clague Rd, Westlake, OH 44145).

In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Deepest sympathies to all the Krempasky family. I’m so glad I got to spend time with Mrs.K in Texas visiting Laura. Laura, I know that a daughter’s heart will always feel her mother close to her, even though it aches with missing for the calls and chats, sharing little day-to-day things or getting our mom’s advice (or even a scolding) when needed. Though I can’t be at the service in Ohio I will be with you all in my thoughts and prayers.

My thoughts and prayers are with Bill and her children, Bill, Laura and David, and her loving grandchildren during this difficult time. Nancy was such a kind, gentle, caring, loving and faith filled person. I will truly miss the wonderful weekly conversations we had and the lovely visits we had! She was a joy to be around and always had such a positive outlook no matter how trying the times. Her spiritual guidance was so appreciated. I miss her daily and I know that all who loved her are left with a hole in their hearts. She is now an angel looking after us all.

I had the pleasure of knowing Nancy when she attended a weekly exercise class held at the City of Westlake Community Services Department. As her instructor, it was always a joy to see her in class and have a quick visit afterward. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. Her sweet spirit will be greatly missed.

Although I had never met Mrs. Krempasky, I do know that she raised the most beautiful daughter Laura. I feel that I knew her through Laura and the sweet and loving nature that Mrs. Krempasky instilled in her. Rest In Peace and prayers to her family.
