To re-emphasize my sister’s comment, Evelyn Badt will always be Mrs. Badt to me and my family; and yet, we truly felt she was a part of our family! Even though I only saw her a handful of times over the past several decades, when I did, it was as if no time had passed. Her genuine caring nature was ever-present. Mrs. Badt and my mother, Dorothea Klein, were good friends, spending dozens of Wednesdays together, serving up hot lunches back in the sixties and seventies at St. Paul Lutheran School. Her frosted brownies were amazing! It is so difficult to say goodbye to seeing her; but, knowing that so many others were overjoyed to welcome her, most especially her devoted husband, Ed, I will choose to focus on this joy! My deepest sympathies to you Nancy, Sue, and your entire family, along with all the friends she made over nine decades! May we all try to emulate the kind of life she led, embracing others with kind words and genuine caring!

Evie, I adored you and you were in my prayers every day. You were a kind loving soul that would do anything for anyone who lived life to its fullest. You will be missed terribly but a comfort to know that you and Ed are together once again. Say hello to all we've lost. We love you.

She was always Mrs. Badt to me and my family but she was really a part of our family since we knew her for so many years. And, she was also a friend of our mom. I will really miss seeing her, like I have this past year, but I’m sure she’s happy to be reunited with her husband and any other relatives or friends who went before her. And I’m sure our mom is so happy to see her.
Prayers to Sue and Nancy and their families and other relatives.

As girls’ sports began at Westlake High School, I was a loyal fan and watched many of Nancy’s basketball games. The Cilimburg family sends love to the Bart family.

Father God, Thank you for so many wonderful years with my Grandma and my children's Great Grandma. We have so many wonderful memories with her and Papa. I know they're both in Heaven with You now and I can't wait to join you, but until then I'll be missing them on Earth and remember all the wonderful times we had together. Thank you for having her show us what a relationship with You is like and that is the only way to eternity in Heaven. In Jesus name, Amen! We love you Grandma!

I was so lucky to have Ev (and Ed) as my neighbors! Loved her friendly, easy-going ways and delicious treats. Even when driving home from work in the evening I would see Ev quietly quilting through her window, and it comforted me.
RIP Ev. Much love, Sue

Evie was a wonderful dear friend for many, many years. She and Ed will be remembered fondly for the times we spent together at the Golden Buckeye meetings and outings. She was so loving and compassionate to all who knew her.

I spent many hours just talking to her and enjoying her company. It was a real joy to have had her as a friend. God Bless all her family and my heartfelt feelings go out to you on your loss.

It is so sad to love those we love, but in their passing we know they are with our loving Father and Lord. God Bless

Loved quilting with Evie at the Lutheran Home, have good memories of the quilts we did and I have one she quilted. She called it the ugly quilt, but it turned out to be beautiful. Thanks be to God for her gifts.

Evie was a devoted Christian who lived her life through serving others. She was part of a small group who regularly cut stamps for missions. Whenever there was a funeral luncheon, she would make the best rainbow jello salad. She made countless beautiful baby quilts that I had the privilege of taking to Cornerstone Pregnancy Services. She also donated a couple of suitcases that my husband and I filled with 100 pounds of supplies that we brought to Haiti on a missionary trip several years ago. Her generosity and kind smile will be missed.

My condolences to your family and all who loved Evelyn. She and your dad had a wonderful way of making everyone feel loved and special. My parents, Leonard and Esther Albers cherished their friendship and I'm sure are standing right behind Jesus with Ed to welcome her home. Who will now make her 7 layer jello salad? Arlene Hustwick

My deepest condolences to her friends and family. Evie was an angel on earth, always willing to help, especially when providing a delicious homemade treat on countless occasions. Spiritual cut ups was a highlight of my week when I was able to see her and her crew diligently and faithfully serving our congregation and church, and that was just a one of many ways she willingly served. I loved talking with her and seeing the humor between her and Ed. Evie exuded the joy of her Savior and I will treasure my memories of her.

Beechwood Drive will never be the same. Evie was an amazing person, friend, and neighbor. As a neighbor, she was just like the wife and mother that she was.., generous, giving, and just plain amazing.

Speaking of amazing.., and sorry for folks who didn't get to experience them.., but the Christmas cookies were absolutely worth waiting 11 months for : )

We are equally saddened by missing our friend and happy that we were so lucky to know her and be lucky enough to call her friend, neighbor, and Evie.

Happy she and Ed are back together getting ready for a season of Cleveland baseball.

Evie was an angel of FAITH, LOVE, & KINDNESS. She lit up every room she entered with her smile and grace. Resurrection Joy to the dearest family. We are celebrating her dear and precious life living for Jesus. May we continually reflect her Jesus joy-filled ways in all that we do for others. Joy, love, and peace, Mary & Chico
