On Friday December 11th 2020, Mildred S. Williams (Usiak), loving wife, aunt and great aunt passed away at the age of 98.  Known to her family and those that loved her as Mimi, Mildred was proceeded in death by her husband John R. Williams, whom she married in 1961.  A proud resident of Lakewood, OH for over 65 years, Mildred would later move to Westlake, OH where she and her younger sister Lillian resided together for almost 20 years.

Mildred was born the second child to Paul and Susan Usiak (Folta) and proceeded in death by her siblings Edwin Usiak, Lillian George and Daniel Usiak.  Mildred worked for her husband’s law practice and served as an executive assistant at Sherwin Williams, developing friendships that lasted until her passing. 

Mildred was recently a member of Westlake United Methodist Church, but is remembered to her family as a longtime member of Cove United Methodist Church in Lakewood, where she was often found counting the offering after a Sunday Service. 

Mildred was proceeded in death by her nephew Robert George and survived by her nieces and nephews; Susan L. Kruse; Bethann L. Sedam, Daniel Usiak, David Usiak, Andrea Usiak-Stearn, Leslie Usiak and multiple grandnieces and grandnephews that will always remember their Mimi.

Loved my visits with Mimi and always felt uplifted after spending time listening to her stories and the love she had for her family. Fun to watch her examine the cookies I would bring and make sure they were the ones she wanted.
