Jim was full of love, laughter, and stories. Over the years, it has been delightful to get together, whether it was at a family reunion, or just to meet for lunch at some random rendezvous point to catch up on each other’s lives and to enjoy each other’s company. Now, we treasure all the more just such a get-together last summer in Findlay, OH. We are all blessed to have had Jim in our lives, and we will truly miss him. We will miss his stories and his laughter, but most of all, we will miss his love.

It was a joy to have been a part of Jim’s life all of these decades. His presence at family reunions always guaranteed delightful storytelling and rounds of hearty laughter. May wonderful memories comfort the entire Harkin family through the days to come.

As I think about Mr. Harkin, I immediately think of the love that is so evident in his facial expressions in every photo I have seen of him with his family. You will miss him, but his love will always be a part of you. You have our deepest sympathy. Tom and Ruth Farr
