Pat as I called her was a dear friend in college. We spent time together when our children were little and kept in tough through out the years mainly at Christmas. She was a fabulous writer. I saved some letters she sent me. I loved her contralto voice. I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm sure she is sorely missed.

Cathy and I became friends in graduate school at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania over 50 years ago. We were close friends, even though our lives and careers took us to different cities and states. We exchanged wonderful, heartfelt, and funny letters and cards. She had such a way with words! I only learned of her passing today (4/29/20) when the birthday card I mailed her earlier this month was returned with the notation of "Deceased." My condolences and love go to all of her family. I am so grateful to have known her. She will be in my heart and memories always as a special light in my life.

I am so heartbroken to learn of her passing. I was going to wish her Happy Birthday today. I know she had her struggles, but she and I got so close during our Freshman and Sophomore years at Ohio Wesleyan University. I will never forget her ability to communicate in her writing. I am so sorry for her grandchildren and children. My prayers are for your peace. Your mother was her own person and lived that way. Be proud and comforted.
