Jenkins Funeral Chapel & Crematory

The Jenkins Funeral Chapel has been an active participant in the West Shore communities for over 75 years. Serving surrounding cities Westlake, North Olmsted, Bay Village, Rocky River, Fairview Park, Avon, Avon Lake, North Ridgeville, Olmsted Township and many others. Our location on Dover Center Road, originally built in 1875, was one of the area's first schoolhouses. It was first remodeled into a funeral home in 1915 to serve your grandparents' families. We operated one of the first local ambulance services -- long before emergency services were available in many localities. Unlike other funeral homes that are part of big, multinational organizations, Jenkins Funeral Chapel is fourth generation family owned and operated. Jenkins is more than just a business member of the community, we live here, our children go to school here and we share your concerns and interests in the day to day events that shape our community.

Our Services

The smoothest path is one tailored to meet your individual needs, where your tastes and preferences influence each aspect of the journey, and where each nuance reflects the things you hold dear to your desires and personality.  In a sense, your life is one long journey, and it is our desire to assist you in making those memories personal and reflect the journey you and your family have been on.

Our Resources

Today, as Westlake's first and most recognized family-owned and operated funeral home and crematory, we pledge to continue to provide the same caring, personal attention to your families' individual needs, as we always have. We offer integrity, quality, teamwork, honesty, good freindships, trust, Christian living, plain talk, dignity respect, and perhaps most importantly, local experience. Ask us how we can save the family of every Veteran over $5000.00 when selecting a National Cemetery rather than a privately owned cemetery.  Jenkins Funeral Chapel, along with Keith A. Jenkins, Andrew J. Jenkins and Jim Gilmore will continue to be here when you need us.

Our Facilities

Historically funerals were held in the decedents home or where close family members lived.  As decades passed and families grew, funerals were moved out of the family home and into a local funeral home.  Our funeral home provides all the conveniences of home without being overly pretentious.  The decor allows for comfort and function of any type of service your family would desire, whether that be an intimate gathering, a service held outdoors, or services for even the largest of families
