    Dear Jack,

I know that I didn't know Joanne long, but the bond we formed in Rae Ann's will always stay in a warm place in my heart. Joanne was so easy to get to know and such fun to be with (even if it was during a torure session in re-hab!)

Please know that I feel very deeply about your loss since mine was only a couple of months ago...sometimes I tell myself that he's just gone to get something to eat....and then I realize the truth. My Grandmother used to say that "you cry when you're born and you rejoice when you die. "...I like to think that she was right;  that we miss our loved ones, here on Earth, but that they are happy, now, and at peace....and that's all that we've ever wanted for those we love.

Eventually, the lonliness will be replaced by peace with us too, and we will settle back into our lives knowing we are being watched over by those we miss too much. The love you have for Mary (Joanne) will never die...I have never seen anyone as devoted and as loving as you were to her, Jack. You're one very special man as Mary was one very special woman...and friend.

My deep, deep sympathy to you and your family. I wish you all the best in whatever this life still holds for you...and try to rejoice, in your heart, like my Grandma said to do...it helps.
